so as I was listening and watching the incredible ruach that I just saw I was reminded that there are many and like we all throw them out and you wondered you know is it really true the 1 that came to mind is the say all beginnings are difficult and I don't know I'm here 4 days now with you and watching the watching guys actually seeming to be happy to be back in Yeshiva I'll be honest with you it's still boggles my mind and having watched hearing from and having heard from the ream the learning during the week and then seeing this on an air of shabas like you you think come on let's get out of here no you guys you just keep going call us call us car shows all Beginnings are difficult didn't look difficult at all and then I realized why and I believe this is the real explanation because what we had today and this week while for some of the Tomb it was new for the rest of us this was not a this was a hamster this is a continuation of what we have going on day in day out week in week out month in month out that's how you are in its expression of how you are it's good you you and now you taught them something else knew okay but let's look at this concept of an aferm of a statement the arizal in s it's time right everything goes after the beginning and what does that mean explains he says the ability the of a beginning is unique and pristine elevated and at the beginning the gates that are open are Gates that are open only at that time and that none other and right now as we sander at this juncture we have the beginning of a new year in the Yeshiva but we also have the beginning we're in now in Elo and so when we see the 2 beg come together the must be extraordinary 1 time came the fame versus Shiva and he said that he feared ELO because he always failed I always start and then it just it doesn't go the way I wanted it I hope it would go quoted the rambam the rambam says magia what is chuva that the 1 who sin will forsake he'll let go of his sin the ymer believe and it's going to decide in his heart okay no more chuva begins with a decision it's a direction it's a new orientation told him L is not on what was its on the path that you choose right now that's what ELO is about and even though LS at the end of the year it's the last month of the year it comes over for us at the beginning because before we start in we have to decide where are we going the morale in the civil rights that achieves all those words is not about fixing mistakes it's about returning to your true self the self that Hashem knows you can be each 1 of us has within ourselves a real potential the only person who ever completely fulfilled this potential was measured the rest of us everybody else fails at some point there is the perfect you and then there's the you that is the is how close can we get those 2 images in sync with each other when we're walking into a newsman we're not returning to our old selves what we're doing is we're stepping into a truer selves the ramban in the in the dashes are run explains why L comes before rashawna he writes caravilla automobile comes close to the person in these days of mercy so that a person will be ready for Hashem comes closer to us during ELO so that we can come closer to him that's not some mystical esoteric idea that's the clear shot according to the Run it's just that the distance between us and Hashem has been minimized seek out when he's there to be found this isn't some Giant mountain we just have to turn and realize that book was right there in front of us the ramban explains that the nerd in the Monera it's a symbolizing as his words it's constant renewal and AEM it's that we don't rely on what we work we don't rely on who we've been we have the ability to look within ourselves and renew and when the flame flickers you don't wait you relight it and that's what ELO is that's what a Newman is the entire movement of slabodka that was established by the from slabodka was all predicated on a concept called God the greatness of a person and the possess says near the end of dwaram Jim ammo his people are a portion of Hashem we are a of Hashem and rights the Altus phone he writes in every single there is a spark of greatness and the beginning of his man that spark is even more visible it's shining in each and every 1 of I was going to say you but not you us all of us it's a brand new spark and it's shining brightly I'm on rights Rumble I'm also talks about it that he writes that the purpose of blowing a shiper during ELO is the is to wake up the sleepers from their slumber it's interesting it doesn't say to wake up the sinners from their slumber it's the sleepers it's having been asleep and this lotion of M I was wondering why did I say should have said so there are 2 places that the concept of is mentioned in the toy room 1 is my aha by the Brisbane absorb and Adam when Abraham showed that slight lack of and it says the that a a slumber settled upon Abram but if we go back to Adam when Hashem was going to create kava the past success put us a slumber on and it says and he was asleep in other words it's an interesting thing aardema is distinct from sleep sleep is a state but being in a in a position of having tarda it's more like the idea of what leads to sleep and that's being anesthetized so often we're so numb to things and that's why we have to be so careful what we watch and how we speak and what we do because each time it just makes us a little less sensitive the terrible thing about eating tray besides the AA is that we believe that it causes a spiritual anesthesia we're not open to that change and when we blow the chauffeur the chauffeur awakens people to their own potential the chauffeur saying wake up get up become the person who you could be Hashem is asking for people to be who they can be to work according to their ability and your ability not somebody else's like we all know in the M when it says in his world each 1 of our worlds is a different world and a who does not want us to be anybody else anybody else he created you because he wants you in the world he wants you to be the person you could be Hashem judges Direction not destination so as we come into elbow let's look into 3 areas the idea is always to do something small if you decide okay I'm going to go learn shots you might but you might not takes a long time but the growth rights that Adam person acquires his world little by little the greatness is built through small steps so take now and choose cabal 1 small thing but make it real make it real on yourself during daving so shine writes Emperor tests so Cabana just a small point a moment of kavana males brings up the it's hard davines difficult it's why it's called a VA take a moment moment that oh no in this I'm going to have kavana in the word sh I'm going to think about what 1 of those words means pirates on what this means take a minute because it will Elevate the entire experience as the missile sham writes 1 Word of kindness can change the entire person's day saying good morning saying something kind if I may I would go as far to say as saying nothing when you could say something and you know it's going to embarrass the person 1 act 1 small follow 1 act of we have to realize that the mid in Shem says peacefully open for me people think it means like the eye of a needle no no open for me like the tip of the needle the point the sharp little nuda of the needle and I'm going to open up the tire and the sinus the person comes to purify themselves just the small step we get Hashem is not asking for Perfection he's asking for the opening 1 Step 1 Direction so we have to realize her voice side the greatness that's existing in each and every 1 of you and the proof is that you're here you're not a mistake you're not an accident you are a essential to Claus at this time in our world and you have greatness within you I want to be Mavs that you should choose a direction that brings you closer to your true self the self that the row and the altar from slabodka and the rambam and Hashem himself believed in Hashem believes in you we believe in you and it's AEM this should be the beginning of our of the most amazing year of your life good shabas
