MAY Seniors Experience Eretz Yisroel Through Phone Freedom Program

After four straight years of sustained commitment to limit their tech use, the boys have earned the opportunity to experience Eretz Yisroel with a clarity and presence that is increasingly rare. Each moment — from heartfelt tefillos at the Kosel, to meaningful shiurim, to time spent together as a chevra — is deeper, more focused, and more real. This extraordinary experience is made possible through the yeshiva’s significant investment in the program, ensuring that every talmid who commits to the journey can participate fully in this culminating opportunity.

The trip itself has been thoughtfully designed to blend inspiration, growth, and experience. Upon arrival, the talmidim headed straight to Ashdod for an opening activity, followed by their first visit to the Kosel — setting the tone for the days ahead. Their schedule includes encounters with leading Gedolim, including HaRav Gamliel Rabinovich, HaRav Moshe Shternbach, and HaRav Yosef Elefant, alongside powerful moments of tefillah, including a sunrise vasikin minyan at the Kosel.

At the same time, the boys are experiencing the breadth of Eretz Yisroel through hands-on activities such as a Nachal Og hike and jeeping through the Judean Desert, as well as a visit to Kever Rochel and a guided walk through the Old City. The program also includes a meaningful night seder at the Mir Yeshiva and a visit to Belz for Maariv, exposing the talmidim to the richness and diversity of Torah life in Eretz Yisroel.

Led by Rabbi Yossi Bennett and Rabbi Yonasan Sprung, the trip is not just a reward, but a living expression of what the program is meant to achieve. Without screens, the talmidim are fully engaged — with their surroundings, with their Rabbeim, and with themselves.

What is unfolding is more than a trip. It is a glimpse of what happens when young men are given the space to disconnect from the noise and fully connect to their ruchniyus, their growth, and each other.
