MAY Celebrates Its No Signal Students with a Special Evening at Doma

The brainchild of a generous anonymous donor, No Signal recognizes and rewards boys who make this meaningful commitment. The donor graciously sponsors special dinners and incentives to celebrate their choices and encourage others to follow their lead.

Accompanied by their Rabbeim, Menahel and Rosh HaYeshiva, participants were treated to a delicious dinner at Doma, complete with appetizers, a choice of mains and sides, and an elaborate dessert spread featuring Doma's famous doughnuts. Each bochur also received his own Solo – a 24Six device – along with custom No Signal sweatshirts and sweatpants.

A highlight of the evening was the inspiring words of special guest Rabbi Avi Schulman, former MAY Rebbe and current S’gan Menahel at Yeshiva Ketana of Long Island, who emphasized that choosing to put aside a smartphone is about far more than technology. The Rosh HaYeshiva, Rabbi Mordechai Yaffe, echoed this sentiment noting the significance of this powerful step toward taking ownership of one's growth and building a life with a focus on ruchniyus. A spirited kumzitz added to the evening's atmosphere of achdus and inspiration.

Perhaps the greatest testament to the evening's success came the very next day, when several additional students approached the yeshiva expressing interest in joining No Signal.

The message was clear: making the right choice is something worth celebrating — and that inspiration is contagious.
